Aivox Help & Compatibility

Revised October 5, 2026

Aivox records eligible cellular calls when Automatic recording is explicitly ON and setup is READY. Manual Start and Stop are an optional fallback. Setup requires Android 11 or later for Wireless Debugging. Runtime capability and authenticated helper checks determine readiness; exact manufacturer, model, or firmware is not a positive qualification rule. Compatibility is not universal and support for every OEM/device is not promised.

Set up and reactivate

  1. Read and acknowledge the prominent recording disclosure. You are responsible for lawful use and any consent required by applicable law.
  2. Read the cellular call-state disclosure, then choose Agree and allow call-state access before Android requests READ_PHONE_STATE. Call-state observation enables automatic start/stop while Aivox is not open; no phone number or Call Log is needed or stored for this feature.
  3. Voluntarily enable Android Wireless Debugging. Pair Aivox with your own device using Android's pairing-code dialog and Aivox's notification or pairing field. Never send pairing codes, keys, or credentials to support.
  4. Return to Aivox and tap Activate recording. The fixed-purpose authenticated local helper runs under Android shell; no root installation or arbitrary shell UI is required or exposed.
  5. Explicitly turn Automatic recording ON, then follow the guided audio test with a trusted person and any required consent.

Saved pairing can be reused. Reactivation restores fresh local connection/helper proof; do not reset pairing merely to reactivate. A restart, stopped helper, or revoked authorization may require reactivation or pairing again. Wireless Debugging must remain available for the recording setup.

Recording and audio truth

Automatic recording ON allows eligible active cellular calls to start recording and call end to stop recording when setup is ready. Switch it OFF to disable automatic recording. You may also disable Wireless Debugging. Technical READY and capture-health progress do not prove human audibility or guarantee two-sided recording. Listen to both sides of a controlled test and verify important recordings. Aivox does not determine whether recording is lawful.

Your local recordings

Existing recordings remain manageable even when setup is not ready. Select a completed recording to play, pause, resume, seek, export a copy, or delete after confirmation. Files stay in app-specific storage with no automatic recording upload or cloud backup. Export copy uses Android's system save interface; the selected destination controls the copy. Uninstall may remove local originals.

Support

Support โ†’ Create support report โ†’ local sanitized preview โ†’ Email support opens your email app addressed to contact@monkeycoding.com. You review or edit, then send or cancel. Aivox sends nothing automatically.

The report contains app/device/setup/recording-health diagnostics, not recording audio/content, phone numbers, contacts, Call Log, recording filenames/paths, pairing codes/keys/credentials, or raw endpoints. See the Privacy Policy for data flows and retention.
